Head of Korea
About the Role
You will define and execute the market strategy for South Korea, driving business development and closing strategic deals to increase capital inflows and user adoption. You will build and maintain relationships with VCs, exchanges, media, and developer communities. You will monitor regulatory and market trends to identify opportunities and guide global startups entering the Korean market with local insights and connections.
Requirements
- 8+ years of business development experience including 3+ years in blockchain digital assets or Web3 startups
- Deep understanding of the South Korean market with ability to engage retail and institutional investors
- Established network across local Web3 startups institutions and enterprises
- Native-level fluency in Korean and English written and verbal
- Self-starter who takes ownership of initiatives from ideation to execution
- Existing relationships with South Korean financial institutions exploring or involved in Web3 initiatives (nice to have)
- Entrepreneurial experience across the startup lifecycle including fundraising product launches and operations (nice to have)
- Deep technical understanding of blockchains (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market strategies to establish Monad as an industry leader in the South Korean market
- Lead business development efforts by identifying negotiating and closing strategic deals
- Build and nurture relationships with VCs exchanges media and developer communities
- Monitor the South Korean regulatory landscape and identify high-impact opportunities
- Facilitate entry of global ecosystem startups into the South Korean market by providing strategic guidance and local connections
