HR Operations Manager
About the Role
You will build, maintain, and improve HR systems and processes to ensure accurate people data, compliant payroll, and smooth employee lifecycles. You will own HRIS and ATS administration, run audits and reporting, coordinate global payroll and benefits, support onboarding and offboarding, and partner with legal and finance to resolve compliance and operational issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR operations or people operations experience
- Deep understanding of global HR compliance, employment law, and payroll operations
- Experience managing HR systems (e.g., Ashby, Notion, JustWorks)
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort with spreadsheets, audits, and data integrity
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to scale processes in fast-moving environments
- Experience in regulated industries (financial services, fintech, banking, crypto) preferred
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize HRIS, ATS, and people operations tools
- Drive automation and workflow improvements across HR systems
- Maintain accurate employee data, organizational charts, and reporting lines
- Lead data integrity, auditing, and compliance efforts across HR platforms
- Develop, document, and maintain HR policies, handbooks, and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and financial regulatory requirements
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to support onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle changes
- Manage background checks, employment verifications, and contractor compliance
- Collaborate with Finance and payroll providers to ensure timely global payroll
- Maintain records for variable compensation, token and equity grants
- Support annual compensation reviews and benefits renewals
- Manage onboarding workflows and oversee offboarding and system access governance
- Serve as first point of contact for HR inquiries and troubleshooting
- Build and maintain dashboards for headcount, attrition, diversity, and workforce planning
