In-House Counsel (Regulatory)
About the Role
You will interpret and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies relevant to the crypto and fintech sectors. You will research regulatory requirements (financial, hardware production, data protection, cybersecurity) primarily within the EU and coordinate with external advisors in other jurisdictions. You will advise on legal aspects of new features, product launches, and business strategies, provide legal guidance across the company on contractual, regulatory and employment matters, draft review and negotiate contracts, and monitor legislative changes in the EEA, UK and USA that could affect operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a legal role preferably in financial regulation or other regulatory field
- Familiarity with the EU regulatory environment
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and provide clear actionable advice
- Excellent communication skills for explaining legal concepts to non legal personnel
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Experience conducting legal research and staying current with evolving legal trends
- Proficiency with technology and legal research tools
