Licensing Associate – Regulatory & International Licensing

About the Role

You will drive regulatory licensing efforts across U.S. and international markets. You will support the end-to-end process of obtaining and maintaining Money Transmitter Licenses, prepare and submit international licensing applications, and draft accurate supporting documentation. You will coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to embed license obligations into day-to-day processes, track deadlines and renewals in a centralized system, monitor global regulatory developments, and continuously improve licensing processes to make them scalable and audit-ready.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in regulatory licensing, compliance, legal, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with Money Transmitter Licenses or similar financial regulatory licenses
  • Strong understanding of U.S. state-level financial regulation and international licensing regimes
  • Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple applications and renewals
  • Clear and confident communication with regulators, counsel, and cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing and documentation skills
  • Prior experience scaling licensing processes for high-growth fintech or crypto is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end process of obtaining and maintaining Money Transmitter Licenses across U.S. states
  • Manage applications for international regulatory licenses such as EMI, VASP, and payment institution licenses
  • Draft, review, and submit licensing applications and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to embed license obligations into operations
  • Track deadlines, renewals, and obligations in a centralized system and ensure proactive renewals
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and flag impacts to licensing strategy
  • Contribute to process improvements to scale and audit-proof licensing operations
