Local Production Magician
About the Role
You will join the event production effort using your local knowledge and event experience to make Devcon successful. You will handle diverse requests, oversee and manage vendors, facilitate collaboration between suppliers, manage volunteers, organize logistics, coordinate speaker relationships, proactively troubleshoot issues, and communicate clearly across teams and partners.
Requirements
- Based in Mumbai or India and willing to be in Mumbai for two months prior to the event
- Experience organizing medium to large events (at least 1000 people)
- Experience managing collaborators or co-organizers
- Knowledge of local vendors for catering internet cleaning security transport and AV
- Familiarity with local event pricing and ability to conduct benchmarking and market analysis
- Ability to work under pressure with hard deadlines
- Proactive problem solving
- Strong people and communication skills
- Ownership mentality and reliable delivery
- Fluent in English; Marathi Hindi or Gujarati is a plus
- Able to work with a global multicultural team
- Valid passport and ability to travel to Mumbai
