Market Data Services Team Lead
About the Role
You will lead a team responsible for low latency market data connectivity and the backbone of the company's data transfer. You will design high-level system architecture for global data dissemination, optimize CPU, cache and NUMA usage for ultra-low latency, and improve data encoding to reduce shared memory footprint and bandwidth. You will implement and maintain low-level C++ systems, use advanced network programming techniques including kernel bypass, and develop lockless shared memory data structures. You will integrate and optimize connectivity to trading venues, prioritize your team's work across company initiatives, and mentor engineers to grow their technical skills.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and system design ability
- Deep market data knowledge (traditional finance acceptable; crypto desirable)
- Advanced network programming skills including kernel bypass techniques
- Knowledge of WebSocket, HTTP, TCP, UDP and IP protocols
- Strong low-level C++ proficiency
- Experience with inter-thread and inter-process communication patterns
- Experience designing lockless shared memory data structures
- Hardware knowledge including CPU, memory, NUMA and NIC characteristics
- Strong Linux systems knowledge
