Mechanical Engineer, Device
About the Role
You will own mechanical development from concept to production: design parts and assemblies, build and test prototypes, run analyses, iterate on solutions, and hand designs over to contract manufacturers. You will select materials, estimate manufacturing costs, prepare documentation, and collaborate with electrical, industrial design and supply chain partners to ensure reliable, manufacturable products.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and product lifecycle management (PLM)
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD and manufacturing tools such as SolidWorks and PTC Creo
- Solid understanding of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science
- Experience designing injection molded components
- Experience building and testing prototypes
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- Proficient English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Design components and systems based on product requirements
- Perform full lifecycle product development including design, test, and manufacture
- Collaborate with industrial design, electrical engineering, and supply chain
- Produce outline and detailed designs and evaluate theoretical approaches
- Build prototypes and conduct experiments, analyze data and interpret results
- Modify designs to meet requirements and resolve malfunctions
- Evaluate final product performance, reliability, and safety
- Verify and improve manufacturability with production partners
