Member of Compliance, Sanctions
About the Role
You will assist in designing, developing, and rolling out the Sanctions Oversight Program. You will screen sanctions alerts, determine false positives and true matches, and perform QA/QC reviews of analyst work. You will research clients and connected parties using internal and external data sources, analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce written assessments of financial crime, and maintain thorough records and documentation for sanctions alerts and investigations. You will manage and test sanctions screening lists and systems, prepare monthly sanctions metrics reporting, refine sanctions and transaction monitoring frameworks, update related policies and procedures, and provide feedback on workflows and system enhancements. You will mentor and guide newer compliance staff and coordinate regulatory submissions or returns as needed.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency regulation and custody and brokerage operations
- Understanding of United States sanctions regulations and familiarity with OFAC and the SDN List
- Experience in BSA/AML transactional reviews
- Knowledge of KYC and AML regulations
- Expertise using sanctions screening systems and monitoring alerts
- Ability to perform QA/QC on screening and investigation work
- Experience performing in-depth research using blockchain, internet, media, legal, corporate and public records
- Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data and produce high-quality written reports
- Experience managing sanctions screening lists and testing systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with IP address monitoring or geolocation blocking tools
- Have Slack installed on a personal device
