Member of Technical Staff, Blockchain Integrations (Backend Engineer)
About the Role
You will research new cryptoassets and integrate them into platform services. You will design and implement participatory features such as staking, governance, and vesting. You will build resilient backend services and abstractions that scale across blockchains, support network upgrades, monitor for issues, and debug deep technical problems. You will write and review code across the stack, improve deterministic testing and test infrastructure, reduce technical debt, and influence architecture and product roadmap. You will collaborate cross-functionally and help mentor and grow engineering capability.
Requirements
- Real world experience building complex distributed systems
- Proficiency or strong familiarity with Go (Golang) or equivalent backend language
- Experience building resilient services and operational automation
- Strong focus on code quality and test infrastructure
- Knowledge of concurrency algorithms and data structures
- Ability to debug deep technical issues in open source and protocol code
- Prioritize end-user experience and business value
- Preferred: applied cryptography experience
- Preferred: background or experience reading blockchain protocol white papers
- Preferred: finance industry experience
