Member of Technical Staff, Security Engineering

About the Role

You will develop and implement high-quality secure code for cryptographic controls across infrastructure, review code and help engineering teams resolve security guardrail issues, and foster efficient testing practices while reducing technical debt. You will build robust components that integrate with other teams, develop and maintain threat models, lead security initiatives from inception to completion, break complex projects into manageable tasks with estimates, and mentor and guide engineers while collaborating across teams to communicate recommendations and address risks.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in applied cryptography including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and key exchange
  • Proficiency with cryptographic protocols and common cryptographic libraries
  • Secure coding experience in Go, C++, C, and Rust
  • Experience with Hardware Security Modules for key generation and management
  • Understanding and implementation experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms including multi-factor authentication, OAuth 2.0, and RBAC
  • Experience in threat modeling and prioritizing mitigations
  • Computer science fundamentals including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
  • Commitment to code quality and test infrastructure
