Mining Operations Technician
About the Role
You will provide hands-on support for bitcoin mining operations, working across shifts to monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic repairs and component replacements. You will log and track equipment, assist with installations and reorganizations, communicate HVAC and power issues, escort visitors, and support facilities and electrical maintenance. Expect to perform physical tasks, occasional travel between sites, and follow safety and inventory procedures while learning on the job.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work without supervision and complete assigned tasks
- Able to lift 50-75 lbs
- Reliable self-transportation
- Insurable under company vehicle insurance policy
Responsibilities
- Log and scan equipment shipments
- Maintain tracking spreadsheets and update tracking tickets
- Assist with installation and reorganization of mining equipment
- Perform basic maintenance on miners such as fan and power supply replacement
- Monitor mining pool data and communicate significant changes
- Identify and report issues affecting the production environment
- Escort approved visitors in and out of facility locations
- Provide remote assistance including simple troubleshooting and equipment reboots
- Communicate HVAC and power issues to facilities team
- Assist with troubleshooting building and electrical problems
- Monitor temperatures and report abrupt changes in data centers or office spaces
- Perform additional duties as required
