Platform Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain platform services such as CI, release systems, and cloud infrastructure using TypeScript, Python, and Rust. You will write and review code, produce technical documentation and disaster recovery plans, and debug complex production issues. You will productionize systems that improve throughput, latency, reliability, availability, and security, and you will participate in an on-call rotation and incident escalation. You will enable developer self-service by building tools and automation with Pulumi, Helm, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, and collaborate with engineering teams to support reliability and performance needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of backend software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one language: Python TypeScript C++ PHP or Rust
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Terraform Helm Kubernetes AWS GCP or Azure
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Passion for developer experience and building self-service platforms
- Ability to perform under pressure and handle production incidents
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI, release, and cloud infrastructure platforms using TypeScript Python and Rust
- Develop production-ready services to improve throughput latency reliability availability and security
- Write and review code and technical documentation and create disaster recovery plans
- Debug and triage production incidents and participate in on-call rotation as an escalation contact
- Enable developer self-service through tooling and automation such as Pulumi Helm Terraform and GitHub Actions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support reliability performance and scalability needs
