Product Manager
About the Role
You will own a product or feature end-to-end, including any internal tooling required to support it. You will relentlessly gather feedback from users and data, work from first principles to design solutions, and prioritize the problems that most block growth and impact. You will write clear design documentation, facilitate asynchronous decision-making, and directly manage a small product team to iterate rapidly. You will travel regularly to operational markets to conduct in-person research and better understand user needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management
- Proven success overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle including user research design implementation and evaluation
- Fluent English
- Conversational French (bonus)
- Professional experience in a consumer fintech company (bonus)
- Mobile money user in Sub-Saharan Africa (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams with full ownership of their product domain
- Define product goals metrics and roadmaps based on user needs
- Drive user research in-market including in-person research and data-driven analysis
- Write clear compelling design documents and facilitate asynchronous decision-making
- Over-communicate context priorities and decisions to ensure team alignment
- Adjust priorities based on feedback experiments and new learnings
- Solve problems holistically through product features ops tooling or process changes
- Own a product or feature holistically including internal tooling
- Directly manage a small product team and iterate rapidly
- Travel regularly to operational markets for user research
