Regional Director, LATAM
About the Role
You will drive business development across Latin America and act as a public-facing voice and thought leader for the Stellar ecosystem. You will identify and help close partnership opportunities with developers, exchanges, custodians, and financial institutions, coordinate regional activities across teams, support regulatory and government relations, plan and represent at regional events and conferences, report progress and outcomes to stakeholders, and travel frequently.
Requirements
- 10+ years of business development experience in blockchain, fintech, or financial services
- At least 2 years of experience working in the blockchain industry
- Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, including exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms
- Proven track record of closing partnerships and driving measurable outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with senior-level stakeholders
- High degree of accountability and strong stakeholder communication
- Ability to work collaboratively in remote and cross-functional environments
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and ability to travel frequently
- Preferred: existing relationships within the crypto ecosystem focused on tokenization and DeFi
- Preferred: existing relationships with financial institutions, especially asset management
Responsibilities
- Drive business development across Latin America to expand DeFi, increase monthly addresses, and advance asset tokenization
- Identify, surface, and help close partnership opportunities with developers, exchanges, custodians, and financial institutions
- Coordinate and align regional activities across partnership, ecosystem, legal, policy, and government relations teams
- Support regulatory and government relations initiatives in the region
- Plan, organize, and represent the organization at regional events and conferences
- Report regional progress and outcomes to stakeholders regularly
- Travel frequently to represent Stellar at meetings and conferences
