Release Engineer - MetaMask

About the Role

You will support and streamline delivery of Mobile (iOS & Android) and browser extension applications. You will maintain and own CI/CD pipelines (Bitrise, GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, CircleCI), automate build test and release workflows using scripting, monitor build health, validate artifacts, manage versioning tagging and signing, submit and track releases to app and extension stores, integrate tests into release workflows, and coordinate feature flag rollouts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in release engineering CI/CD or build release coordination
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams and reviewing and cherry-picking production code branches
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Bitrise GitHub Actions and CircleCI
• Strong scripting ability including Bash and TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with YML based CI systems and GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of Git workflows including trunk-based and Git Flow and semantic versioning
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support fast-moving teams

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams with day-to-day release tasks including cherry-pick reviews build validations and release coordination
• Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitrise GitHub Actions GitHub Runners and CircleCI
• Automate and improve build test and release workflows via scripting (Bash TypeScript JavaScript)
• Monitor build health troubleshoot issues and proactively resolve blockers
• Ensure proper versioning tagging and signing of builds for mobile and browser extension platforms
• Submit and track releases on App Store Play Store and extension stores (Chrome Firefox Edge)
• Partner with QA to integrate and validate unit UI and E2E tests in release workflows
• Maintain clear documentation and checklists for release processes
• Coordinate feature flag rollouts using LaunchDarkly
