Rust Smart Contract Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, and optimize Rust smart contracts that power high-performance DeFi primitives on Solana. You will collaborate with product and protocol teams to iterate, test, and ship protocol features, own end-to-end delivery from research to mainnet deployment, and operate on-chain services in production with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience
- 1–3 years working with Rust and other Web3 technologies
- Proven experience shipping smart contracts that handle real funds in production
- Strong understanding of blockchain architecture and smart contract design
- Ownership mindset and ability to move fast in an experimental high-impact environment
- Passion for DeFi on-chain innovation and open-source development
- Experience with Solana or Anchor (nice to have)
- Contributions to open-source DeFi or protocol codebases (nice to have)
- Background in financial systems derivatives or risk management logic (nice to have)
- Previous experience in a startup or early-stage Web3 team (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement smart contracts in Rust
- Build and maintain high-quality smart contract systems with performance resilience and scalability in mind
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate experiment and ship protocol features
- Architect systems with a focus on security scalability and gas efficiency
- Contribute to developer tooling SDKs and integration layers
- Deploy monitor and operate on-chain services in production
- Refine and test protocol logic through rigorous experimentation
- Take ownership from concept research to mainnet deployment and maintenance
