Security Engineer

About the Role

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on network security, threat modeling, or risk assessments
• Experience with blockchain technology, decentralized systems, or AI-driven platforms is highly desirable
• Proven experience consulting on security architecture and cryptography
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and tools
• Expertise in threat modeling methodologies (for example STRIDE) and risk assessment frameworks (for example NIST SP 800-30)
• Proficiency in cryptography including elliptic curve cryptography and homomorphic encryption
• Familiarity with secure software development practices and vulnerability scanning tools (for example YARA) and penetration testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive risk mitigation
• Strong communication skills to translate complex security concepts into actionable recommendations
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications (for example CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead security design and decision-making for technical architectures
• Provide security recommendations and risk mitigation strategies
• Enhance network security for decentralized systems by developing and implementing procedures
• Conduct threat modeling sessions and perform comprehensive risk assessments
• Advise developers on security architecture, cryptography, and secure implementation
• Research emerging security concepts and translate findings into actionable designs
• Identify and remediate internal security vulnerabilities across products and infrastructure
