Security Engineer

About the Role

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on network security, threat modeling, or risk assessments
• Experience with blockchain technology, decentralized systems, or AI-driven platforms is highly desirable
• Proven track record consulting on security architecture and cryptography
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and tools
• Expertise in threat modeling methodologies (STRIDE, DREAD) and risk assessment frameworks (NIST SP 800-30)
• Proficiency in cryptography including elliptic curve cryptography and homomorphic encryption
• Familiarity with secure software development practices and vulnerability scanning tools (YARA, penetration testing tools)
• Knowledge of smart contract security is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive risk mitigation
• Strong communication skills to translate complex security concepts for developers
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead technical security design and decision making
• Develop and implement network security procedures for decentralized systems
• Conduct threat modeling and perform comprehensive risk assessments
• Advise developers on security architecture and cryptography best practices
• Research emerging security concepts and translate them into actionable designs
• Identify and remediate internal security vulnerabilities across products and infrastructure
