Security Engineer
About the Role
You will build and maintain security across products and infrastructure, focusing on distributed systems and blockchain-related risks. You will triage and respond to alerts, improve CI/CD and development pipeline security, remediate vulnerabilities from bug bounties, advise customers on secure implementations, and explore new defensive approaches.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related fields
- Experience implementing or maintaining security systems in production environments
- Comfortable making changes to production environments
- Understanding of modern web security best practices and common vulnerabilities
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborative approach to security emphasizing education and enablement
- Experience with corporate or information security in startups (preferred)
- Blockchain security experience (preferred)
- Detection and response or incident response background (preferred)
- AWS security expertise (preferred)
- Bug bounty hunting or red team experience (preferred)
- Experience building security-focused developer tools (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Establish and improve baseline security practices across the organization
- Triage and respond to security alerts from EDR, dependency scanners, and other tools
- Collaborate with engineering to enhance security in the development pipeline including CI/CD and GitHub
- Provide security guidance to internal teams and customer developers
- Respond to and remediate bug bounty reports
- Develop deep knowledge of the stack including client, backend, infrastructure, TEEs, and security policies
- Advise customers on secure implementation patterns and remediate security vulnerabilities
