Senior Accountant
About the Role
You will implement and lead accounting policy and procedures across the group. You will own the month-end close in accordance with IFRS, record fiat and crypto transactions, prepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and consolidated reporting, and perform cash and token reconciliations. You will maintain weekly cashflow forecasts, carry out financial analysis to explain variances and inform budgeting, support the Financial Controller as required, and help develop strong internal controls.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent)
- 5+ years experience in accounting
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
- Experience with crypto accounting is a plus
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Organised, detail oriented, proactive, collaborative and able to multitask
- Ability to work CET time zone or similar
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close process in accordance with IFRS
- Record and reconcile fiat and crypto transactions
- Prepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and consolidated group reporting
- Lead accounting and bookkeeping for multiple entities including intercompany accounting
- Oversee accounting treatment and distribution of token transactions
- Maintain weekly cashflow forecasts
- Perform financial analysis to assess trends and variance explanations
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, fixed asset and other journal entries
- Support the Financial Controller in financial management tasks
- Develop and maintain internal control processes
