Senior Accountant - Technical & Financial Reporting
About the Role
You will prepare audit support and respond to auditor requests, lead technical accounting research and author accounting position memos, and prepare and review disclosures and supporting schedules for SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K). You will maintain accounting policy documentation, identify opportunities to streamline reporting and close activities, support SOX 404 internal controls including walkthroughs and control documentation, and collaborate with tax on ASC 740 income tax provision reviews. You may be required to travel between sites and support after-hours or weekend work when needed.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
- 3–6 years of progressive experience in public accounting or in technical accounting or financial reporting at a public company
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Demonstrated experience writing or reviewing technical accounting memos and footnote disclosures
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word including pivot tables and formulas
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Ability to work on-site and complete physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to support after-hours response or weekend work when required
- Preferred experience with investment accounting or digital asset accounting including crypto holdings derivatives and fair value disclosures
- Preferred experience with NetSuite FloQast DFin Workiva and Certent
- Preferred experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced public company environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare audit support and respond to quarterly and annual auditor requests
- Lead technical accounting research and author accounting position memos
- Prepare and review disclosures and supporting schedules for SEC filings including Forms 10-K 10-Q and 8-K
- Communicate across accounting tax operations and external auditors to ensure alignment and timely reporting
- Maintain accounting policy documentation and identify opportunities to streamline reporting and close activities
- Support execution of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with SOX 404 including walkthroughs control documentation updates and evidence preparation
- Collaborate with tax to review components of the income tax provision under ASC 740
- Perform additional duties as assigned
