Senior API Engineer
About the Role
You will develop and deploy REST and FIX API endpoints that provide ISV and institutional customers access to the US Exchange. You will maintain API access, architect and test FIX/REST/SDK integrations, and design systems for scale and CFTC compliance. You will onboard and support market makers, collaborate with operations, compliance, and product to iterate on tooling, and participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
Requirements
- 3-10 years of professional software development experience
- Strong FIX, REST, and SDK experience
- Experience with AWS, Cloudfare, Kubernetes, and Kafka
- Experience building data-heavy applications or tools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Bias for action and builder's mindset
- Background in fintech, payments, reconciliation systems, or regulated environments (plus)
- Understanding of regulated exchange backend and audit requirements (plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (plus)
