Senior Backend Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain foundational backend infrastructure for rollups and block builders. You will lead development of high-performance, secure systems (including TEEs), own CI/CD, observability, automation, and runtime performance tooling, and debug production issues at the OS, network, and runtime levels. You will collaborate with protocol, research, and backend teams to balance performance with decentralization and contribute to open-source infrastructure projects that advance blockchain scalability.
Requirements
- 4-10 years of experience with production systems and infrastructure or platform engineering
- Deep understanding of DevOps concepts at scale
- Strong systems programming skills in Rust or Go
- Experience with CI/CD observability automation and runtime performance tooling
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience running Ethereum infrastructure such as clients builders rollup sequencers or MEV-Boost components
- Open source contribution experience
- Experience with trusted execution environments such as Intel TDX
- Experience building high-throughput or latency-sensitive systems
- Knowledge of MEV L2 scaling solutions and DeFi protocols
