Senior Backend Engineer, Platform

About the Role

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or Rust
• Deep understanding of AWS cloud constructs and architecture
• Strong algorithms knowledge and debugging capabilities
• Experience designing building and maintaining large-scale production systems on the cloud
• Experience building systems from the ground up (0→1)
• Passion for building scalable and reliable systems that enable high-quality feature development
• Nice to have: experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi), distributed systems, authentication, developer tooling, and background in blockchain or DeFi

Responsibilities

• Design backend systems that support shared services
• Develop and maintain high-quality, well-tested code
• Review code from other team members
• Provide technical guidance and leadership on architectural and coding tradeoffs
• Drive strategic technical initiatives across engineering pods
• Improve developer productivity and system reliability through automation and best practices
• Design and operate large-scale production systems with high availability
