Senior Backend Engineer
About the Role
You will write high-quality, well-tested backend code and review work from your peers. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into production features and lead execution end to end. You will design, build, and operate large-scale cloud systems with high availability, drive strategic technical initiatives across pods, manage releases and operational monitoring, and mentor more junior engineers. You will also help shape architecture and make tradeoffs for long-lived services.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- Excellent coding skills
- Deep understanding of cloud architectures
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and debugging techniques
- Experience managing projects end to end from requirements to release and monitoring
- Experience designing building and maintaining large-scale production systems on the cloud
- Experience building systems from the ground up (0→1)
- Desire to keep up with modern best practices in software development and Web3
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Nice to have: prior experience as a Technical Lead
- Nice to have: prior experience with time-series based monitoring and observability systems
- Nice to have: experience with TypeScript
- Nice to have: experience with AWS
- Nice to have: degree in computer science
