Senior Business Process Automation Engineer
About the Role
You will discover, analyze, and re-engineer business processes to remove manual work and speed decision making. You will architect, build, and maintain scalable automation workflows using low-code platforms and custom code. You will create robust integrations between internal systems and third-party apps, apply AI/LLM capabilities where they add value, and own projects from ideation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You will embed security best practices into every automation and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs and reliability standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in process automation, software development, or similar roles
- Expert-level proficiency with enterprise-grade low-code/no-code automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make)
- Strong scripting and development skills in JavaScript (Node.js) and/or Python
- Experience with SDLC best practices, version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD
- Deep expertise in process mapping, requirements gathering, and workflow architecture
- Proven experience architecting complex multi-system API integrations
- Security-first mindset with experience handling sensitive or confidential data
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive and autonomous work ethic with ability to drive high-level goals to completion
- Experience with agentic workflows or integrating LLMs (nice to have)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) and data warehousing concepts (BigQuery) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and analysis of business processes to identify automation opportunities
- Design and implement scalable automation workflows using low-code platforms
- Extend low-code workflows with custom JavaScript or Python code
- Develop and maintain complex API integrations between core systems and third-party applications
- Build agentic workflows and integrate LLMs for tasks like summarization and data reconciliation
- Own end-to-end automation project lifecycle from requirements to deployment and monitoring
- Serve as platform owner for AI and automation tooling and improve platform UX
- Enforce security standards in automations including encryption and access control
