Senior Data Engineer
About the Role
You will architect, build, and own end-to-end data pipelines that ingest payments, transaction, and blockchain data, transform raw logs into production-grade datasets, and ensure data quality and observability. You will operate and optimize the data warehouse, implement orchestration, monitor reliability, and support analytics and cross-functional teams with well-documented datasets.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years in data engineering roles
- Strong Python and SQL fundamentals
- Experience building production-grade ETL and ELT
- Hands-on experience with Airflow Dagster Prefect or similar orchestration systems
- Experience operating cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake BigQuery or Redshift
- Knowledge of data quality testing lineage and observability practices
- Experience designing schemas partitioning and access patterns for warehouses
- Proven ability to own pipelines and platforms end-to-end in early-stage environments
- Experience collaborating with backend engineers and analytics stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain core data pipelines
- Ingest data from payments processors card issuers blockchain nodes internal services and third-party APIs
- Own orchestration and workflow management using Airflow Dagster or similar tools
- Architect and manage the data warehouse for performance and cost optimization
- Develop high-quality ELT and ETL transformations for production datasets
- Implement data quality frameworks tests freshness checks and lineage
- Partner with backend engineers to define data contracts and instrument events
- Support analytics and cross-functional teams with modeled and documented tables
- Lead root-cause investigations reduce pipeline failures and build monitoring and alerting
- Evaluate and integrate tooling across ingestion enrichment observability and developer experience
