Senior Data Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, orchestrate, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and surface blockchain and network telemetry for analytics. You will perform ad hoc analysis to clean and distill insights, improve observability and data quality across data marts, and translate community and business requests into data products, dashboards, and SQL interfaces to enable self-service analytics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional data engineering ML or software engineering experience
- Solid understanding of modern data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks (dbt Fivetran Databricks Talend)
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets using SQL
- Experience with ETL schedulers such as Apache Airflow Dagster or AWS Glue
- Programming experience in Python or Golang
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex data insights to non technical stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for working on a small growing team
- Cloud data stack experience preferably GCP
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience administering BI tools and building visualizations
- Knowledge of data governance data cataloging and quality control
- Familiarity with blockchain technologies and smart contracts including Soroban
Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain data pipelines to collect and transform blockchain and network telemetry
- Orchestrate ETL workflows and schedule jobs to ensure data freshness and reliability
- Perform ad hoc data analysis to clean transform and extract insights from large datasets
- Improve observability maintainability and quality of data marts and datasets
- Translate business and community requests into data products dashboards and KPIs
- Enable self service analytics by building SQL interfaces and dashboarding solutions
- Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to instrument monitor and troubleshoot data sources and ETL systems
