Senior Data Scientist, Financial Services
About the Role
You will own end-to-end analytics products, from design through deployment, and lead the implementation of advanced analytics that surface actionable signals from blockchain and transactional data. You will work directly with customers to understand their challenges and translate them into models and product features. You will develop statistical analyses, machine learning algorithms, and interactive visualizations, design algorithms for distributed ledger and cryptographic data, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will establish statistical rigor and best practices, mentor colleagues, and participate in occasional on-call rotations to ensure pipelines run smoothly.
Requirements
- Academic background in a quantitative field (Computer Science Statistics Engineering Economics or Physics); advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in an analytical role
- Customer-facing experience
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
- Proven experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred) and comfort developing code in a team environment (git notebooks testing)
- Experience building scalable data and analytics products from design to deployment
- Strong statistical and analytical skills and experience thinking in distributions
- Delivery-oriented with experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
- High tolerance for ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of advanced analytics products for blockchain data
- Lead roadmap and prioritization of analytics customer product suite
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams and customers to translate challenges into models
- Develop complex statistical analyses algorithms and interactive visualizations
- Design algorithms to analyze distributed ledger cryptographic and transactional data

- Establish best practices and statistical rigor around data-driven decision making
- Mentor and coach colleagues
