Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Requirements

• Expert production experience with Kubernetes
• Extensive experience with Terraform or OpenTofu and Terragrunt across large codebases and multiple providers
• Strong Linux fundamentals
• Proficient Bash scripting
• Programming or scripting experience in at least one language such as Python or Go
• Experience administering ArgoCD or other GitOps tools at scale
• Highly proficient with AWS; experience with GCP is desirable
• Understanding of containerisation including Docker and containerd
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry
• Security first mindset
• Experience with FinOps
• Proven track record designing and managing complex CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work proactively and deliver complex initiatives
• Ability to overlap core team work hours in EMEA

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new infrastructure, tooling and features
• Propose solutions and improvements to technology, process and codebase
• Develop observability to industry best standards
• Implement processes and workflows for alerting
• Gather requirements from developers and translate them into actions
• Guide developers on DevOps and SRE best practices and support deployments
• Develop and maintain a strong developer experience
• Optimise in-house tooling and automation
• Anticipate and prevent production incidents proactively
• Deliver new developer-facing features
