Senior Engineering Manager, API Integrations
About the Role
You will lead engineering work on API and SDK integrations, driving technical planning and delivering high-quality features for the AUTH product. You will coordinate directly with external partners and exchanges to define and align on integration APIs, troubleshoot integrations, and guide partner engineering teams. You will recruit, coach, and develop engineers, participate in architecture and design discussions, contribute code to remain hands-on, and introduce engineering patterns that increase reliability and scalability. You will work closely with product and program managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and oversee project success from planning through delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on building and maintaining APIs and SDKs for B2B integration
- 5+ years of engineering management experience including managing senior engineers
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven experience delivering production products
- Golang expertise and idiomatic Go knowledge
- Familiarity with TypeScript and React for frontend services
- Understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology including Bitcoin and Ethereum and on-chain transaction flows
- Experience integrating with third-party financial services or crypto exchanges via REST, WebSockets or proprietary APIs
- Strong knowledge of financial compliance and security standards for digital assets (KYC/AML, data privacy, custody practices)
- Expertise designing and operating large-scale distributed systems with high throughput and low latency
- Experience driving technical strategy and architectural decisions for highly available systems
- Exceptional client-facing communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience collaborating directly with external engineering teams on SDK/API integrations
