Senior Global Sanctions Compliance Analyst
About the Role
You will lead second-level reviews and adjudications of watchlist alerts, conduct sanctions investigations, and assess potentially fraudulent activity. You will identify and escalate issues, ensure appropriate action on true matches, create and maintain procedures and training materials, improve and automate compliance processes, and prepare metrics and reporting.
Requirements
- College degree
- 2-5 years AML or sanctions or testing experience including Level 2 or team lead roles
- Experience with third-party automated screening tools
- Familiarity with Google Suite or Google Workspace
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite or Microsoft Office
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work across regions and business units
- Comfort working in a fast-changing industry
- Crypto experience (preferred)
- CAMS or CGSS certification (preferred)
- Experience with MSBs (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Adhere to applicable federal and state laws and company policies
- Maintain understanding of global sanctions regulations
- Lead daily execution of sanctions compliance duties
- Review and adjudicate Level 2 alerts and investigations
- Identify and escalate issues affecting alert quality
- Ensure appropriate action on accounts matching sanctioned parties
- Collaborate with internal and external teams on testing strategies
- Follow up with relevant channels when problems are found
- Discuss issues and proposed solutions with management
- Automate compliance functionality and recommend process improvements
- Develop and maintain tracking logs for metrics reporting
- Create and maintain training materials and operating procedures
- Apply industry experience to meet client needs and timelines
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
