Senior Infrastructure Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure for production services. You will develop automation and tooling to improve operability and reduce manual work. You will implement monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLIs, and runbooks to ensure reliability. You will participate in systems hardening and compliance activities (e.g., SOC2, FedRAMP). You will operate and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP and work with engineering and product partners to set infrastructure priorities and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years experience working with AWS and/or GCP IaaS services
- Experience with Airflow, GKE, EKS, BigQuery is a plus
- High proficiency with Unix/Linux operating systems (preferably CentOS and Alpine)
- Experience with CI/CD, containers, virtualization, web servers, and databases
- Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and implementing monitoring, alerting, and runbooks
- Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes is a plus
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing goals
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
