Senior Product Manager (Payments Product Field Research and Support)

About the Role

You will lead product execution from pre-sales through onboarding, integration, and service launch. You will support regional product dissemination, communicate product requirements, deliver trainings and knowledge transfer to the field, and translate partner and industry requirements into the product roadmap. You will conduct deep research and analysis on acquiring and issuing payments flows, merchant acceptance, QR standards, POS and online checkout, mobile app UI/UX, and core banking related to ewallet funding and account management, and present findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in fintech or banking product management
  • Preferably 2+ years experience as a software engineer in the payments sector
  • Extensive experience in fintech, especially mobile payments
  • In-depth ecommerce and mobile-based payments experience, including merchant acceptance and QR standards/integration
  • Understanding of backend online checkout processes; core banking services experience around ewallet funding and account management preferred
  • Payments experience across at least two areas: mobile QR-based payments, acquiring-side/merchant services, issuing-side/user services including mobile app UI/UX, or core banking services
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and deep analysis on payments products
  • Strong ability to balance strategy, execution, and operational activities
  • Self-driven and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and uncertain situations
  • Effective presentation, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • Savvy business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders in complex environments
  • Attention to detail while managing multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering required; Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin

  • Research regional payments trends, product innovation, and perform competitive analysis
