Senior Protocol Engineer, Product
About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain core smart contracts that drive protocol-level functionality. You will research and apply new smart contract paradigms, collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to integrate contracts, and take ownership of projects from scoping through deployment and iteration. You will coordinate audits, write and respond to RFCs, and communicate status and blockers to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 4+ years shipping production-level smart contracts or protocol features
- Deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine
- Experience with DeFi protocols
- Proficient with TypeScript React Next.js and Python
- High degree of ownership and autonomy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must be located in Eastern Standard (US) Time Zone or an EU Time Zone
Responsibilities
- Design and implement smart contracts for the protocol
- Research and apply new smart contract paradigms
- Integrate contracts with backend and frontend systems
- Own projects end-to-end including scoping design reviews implementation testing audit coordination deployment and iteration
- Communicate status updates and blockers to cross-functional stakeholders
- Participate in RFC and code review
