Senior Protocol Engineer
About the Role
You will design, document, and implement backend architectures, services, and tooling that leverage the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT. You will develop high-quality, performant, clean Go code and deliver within tight deadlines. You will collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams and contribute ideas to the product roadmap. You will own development and maintenance from ideation to deployment, work on distributed systems and blockchain components, implement cryptographic primitives such as public and private keys hash functions and Merkle trees, and use developer collaboration tools like GitHub. You may work with Kubernetes and containerization on cloud providers and contribute to open-source projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years experience in designing and implementing quality backend architectures
- Experience contributing to Cosmos SDK CometBFT IBC Ethermint and other modern consensus algorithms ZK base primitives EVM and Solidity used in production
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Golang
- Exceptional problem-solving analytical and communication skills
- Experience with distributed systems architecture
- Understanding of blockchain systems like Ethereum or Cosmos
- Good knowledge of cryptographic primitives such as public private keys hash functions and Merkle trees
- Experience with GitHub or other developer collaborative tools
- Experience with Kubernetes containerization and cloud providers like AWS or GCP (nice to have)
- Experience with performance optimizations (nice to have)
- Contribution to open-source projects (nice to have)
