Senior Security Engineer
About the Role
You will secure a high-throughput modular blockchain architecture and its ecosystem. You will perform threat modeling, design reviews, and vulnerability assessments; audit and harden smart contracts and infrastructure; build monitoring and incident response capabilities; integrate security into development workflows and educate engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering with at least 2+ years focused on blockchain/Web3 security
- Hands-on expertise in smart contract security, including vulnerability assessment and mitigation
- Experience with tools like Slither, Foundry, or similar
- Proven experience securing complex distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, consensus algorithms, and cryptography
- Proficiency in one or more languages such as Go, Rust, Solidity, or Python
- Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security audits from design to production
- Excellent communication skills to explain security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to operate with ownership in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
Responsibilities
- Lead threat modeling, design reviews, and vulnerability assessments to secure the protocol
- Own smart contract and critical infrastructure security, conduct audits and establish developer security standards
- Build and run security operations including monitoring and incident response
- Integrate security into the development lifecycle and educate engineers
- Develop security tooling to protect the application layer
