Senior Software Engineer, DevX
About the Role
You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of the JavaScript SDK that developers use to build on the network. You design APIs, implement and maintain client libraries in TypeScript/JavaScript, improve bundling and build pipelines, and ensure high-quality developer experiences. You collaborate closely with Product and Developer Relations to gather feedback and iterate on tooling. You mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership, and engage with the developer community to collect feedback and drive improvements. You apply knowledge of backend development, cryptography, and blockchain concepts where needed, and prioritize making complicated functionality easy to use.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience with JavaScript and API design
- Experience with SDK development, bundlers, and Babel
- Experience building and maintaining client applications or libraries
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices
- Experience with at least one other server-side language
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptography concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex systems for developer consumption
Responsibilities
