Senior Software Engineer, Onboarding

About the Role

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions
• Strong expertise in building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
• Experience with modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
• Strong understanding of security best practices and experience building secure systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex requirements into manageable tasks
• Experience with workflow engines and state management systems is a plus
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and KYC/AML processes is a plus
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows and productivity
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable services and APIs that power the automated onboarding platform
• Build integrations with third-party compliance and identity verification vendors
• Create flexible, configurable workflows that support multiple jurisdictions and customer types
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive user experiences for complex onboarding processes
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for the onboarding platform
• Mentor junior engineers and provide thoughtful code reviews to maintain high quality standards
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability and availability
