Senior Software Engineer | Blockchain
About the Role
You will build and maintain backend services and APIs that power mobile apps and partner integrations. You will design and implement Solidity smart contracts and secure oracle flows, manage crosschain deployments, and create internal CRM and admin tooling using Django. You will own architecture decisions, optimize performance, drive CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices, and ensure high code quality through testing and automation. You will collaborate with stakeholders to transform product requirements into reliable, scalable backend systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years developing APIs and backend services
- 2+ years writing Solidity smart contracts
- Experience with Python and Django
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with GraphQL and REST API design
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Experience with backend performance profiling and optimization
- Testing and automation experience
- Experience managing AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with EVM and DeFi protocols including stablecoins and lending markets
- Experience integrating offchain data via oracles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust GraphQL queries and mutations optimized for mobile performance
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL API endpoints for vendor and partner integrations
- Monitor API performance and resolve bottlenecks and bugs
- Champion code quality, automation, and comprehensive testing practices
- Leverage and extend Django admin to build and customize an internal CRM and administration portal
- Refine internal processes and deliver user-friendly administrative solutions
- Design and implement Solidity smart contracts for decentralized energy markets
- Develop decentralized data storage and validation layers
- Architect secure oracle flows to feed real-world energy data onchain
- Manage crosschain deployments and integrations for liquidity routing and yield pools
- Contribute to architecture planning and drive technical design decisions for scalability and security
- Optimize the application stack for performance and reliability
- Implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code to streamline deployments
- Evaluate and integrate emerging backend and blockchain technologies
