Senior Software Engineer, Risk

About the Role

You will build and evolve core risk systems and decisioning infrastructure. You will design and implement scalable backend services to support fraud prevention and compliance. You will improve data instrumentation and observability to enable accurate risk analysis and reporting. You will translate risk insights into effective controls with partners across data security compliance and customer support, iterate on risk rules to reduce false positives and negatives, and build internal tools to support investigations and operational efficiency. You will mentor other engineers, contribute to technical direction, and operate with strong ownership to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Experience building and operating scalable backend systems
  • Understanding of system design data flows and performance optimization
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces with evolving requirements
  • Strong ownership and focus on business and customer impact
