Senior Software Engineer
About the Role
You will design and build scalable, high-performance systems across the stack. You will write clean, maintainable code with an emphasis on simplicity, testing, and benchmarking, and you will optimize low-level details for performance. You will own core subsystems, author technical feature and protocol RFCs, participate in design and code reviews, and contribute to open-source projects.
Requirements
- Experience developing reliable and easy to understand software on a team
- Track record of building and maintaining large systems in modern C++ or Rust
- Understanding of low-level details and ability to write high-performance code
- Enthusiasm for working on a small growing team with significant autonomy
- Open and empathetic collaboration skills
- BS MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent field (nice to have)
- Experience in computer networks distributed systems databases or operating systems research (nice to have)
- Open-source project creation or contribution (nice to have)
