Senior Validator Engineer
About the Role
You will spearhead engineering around the Solana Validator (Agave and Firedancer), designing and implementing high-performance distributed systems. You will write and optimize Rust code and occasionally work with C, translate protocol specifications into actionable issues and code, and maintain a large modular, high-performance codebase. You will build automation for security testing and benchmarking, create tools and frameworks to validate system behavior, and mentor less experienced engineers while documenting your work.
Requirements
- Bachelor or master in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 3 years of experience in blockchain and distributed systems
- Deep technical understanding of L1 and L2 architectures
- Experience writing efficient low-level code
- Strong proficiency in Rust with 2-3 years of experience
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable distributed systems
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate emerging security threats
- Direct involvement in the Solana ecosystem with contributions to runtime, scheduler, or other core systems
- Proficiency and experience in writing C code
- Active open-source contributions in core protocol engineering
- Engagement with the blockchain security research community
