Senior/Staff Software Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure distributed systems. You will build and operate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and instrument systems with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and Datadog. You will write production-grade services in Go or Rust, contribute to open source projects, and represent the project in public forums. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve reliability, performance, and developer workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Experience designing building and operating distributed fault tolerant systems
- DevOps and infrastructure engineering experience with Terraform and CloudFormation
- Proficiency in Go and/or Rust
- Experience with observability solutions for large distributed systems
- Prior involvement in open source projects and public communications
- Interest or experience in Web3 technologies
- Nice to have Experience with internals of distributed databases
- Nice to have Experience contributing to a Layer 1 blockchain
- Nice to have Knowledge of messaging systems and protocols
Responsibilities
