Settlement and Trading Operations Engineer

About the Role

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in financial operations, payments, or back-office settlement
• Basic proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages
• Ability to write basic SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data
• Familiarity with how APIs work (e.g., using Postman)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in transactional environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
• Strong ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end processing of crypto and fiat transfers
• Perform frequent data reconciliations between internal records and external statements
• Investigate failed transfers and mismatched data by querying databases and reviewing logs
• Automate repetitive reconciliation tasks using scripting (e.g., Python or Excel macros)
• Generate recurring reports and dashboards to track transaction health and operational performance
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to test new features and provide feedback on settlement tools
• Serve as a technical point of contact for institutional clients to resolve transaction inquiries
