Software Engineer, Blockchain
About the Role
You will architect, build, and maintain blockchain infrastructure and issuance applications. You will design and implement scalable backend services and APIs, ensure system reliability and security, optimize performance and latency, collaborate with product and compliance teams on technical requirements, mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and stay current with blockchain and distributed systems trends.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with proven delivery of complex technical solutions
- Expertise in building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
- Experience with modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Track record of writing clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
- Strong understanding of security best practices and experience building secure systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex requirements
- Experience with workflow engines and state management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and KYC/AML processes is a plus
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve how you work
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams to define system architecture and technical requirements
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment
- Optimize issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making
- Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology
