Software Engineer Generalist - Devops
About the Role
You will own and operate the internal platforms used to develop, test, deploy, and monitor code. You will design and implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, build automation to reduce lead time, and implement observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response to minimize MTTR. You will architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on GCP and AWS, lead technical design discussions and post-mortems, identify and address performance bottlenecks and cost inefficiencies, and participate calmly in on-call rotations. You will write automation and tooling (including scripting in Bash) and diagnose complex system and scaling issues while working autonomously and asynchronously across GMT to EST time zones.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Expertise with cloud platforms, bare metal, and distributed systems
- Proven experience building, scaling, and maintaining production infrastructure
- Hands-on proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong automation and scripting skills (Bash)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system, scaling, or performance issues
- Self-starter mindset with technical depth and leadership capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously within a distributed team
- Located in or able to work within GMT to EST time zones
- Experience in Web3 or high-growth startups is a plus
Responsibilities
