Software Engineer (Polkadot Runtime) - Full-time
About the Role
You will design and implement cutting-edge protocols used by Polkadot and related multi-chain projects. You will work on complex multi-chain problems and build end-to-end test suites and system test frameworks. You will collaborate in an open-source environment, participate in peer review, take ownership of your work, and present technical work clearly in plain English. You will operate autonomously and deliver reliable, well-tested solutions for production-grade distributed systems.
Requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and solve problems independently
- Experience collaborating in open-source projects and participating in peer review
- Good understanding of system design and complex distributed systems
- Willingness to take ownership and iterate on delivered work
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Responsibilities
- Design and implement protocols for multi-chain systems
- Develop system test frameworks and end-to-end test suites
- Solve complex multi-chain engineering problems
- Write and maintain reliable, production-grade code
- Participate in open-source collaboration and peer review
- Take ownership of features from design through release
- Present technical work clearly in written and verbal form
