Staff Android Engineer
About the Role
You will own Android development end-to-end: design and implement new features, shape mobile architecture, and optimize performance. You will build production-quality Kotlin apps with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform components where applicable, integrate with GraphQL backends, and implement real-time data flows. You will adopt AI-assisted development tools to speed delivery, participate in code reviews, mentor other engineers, and take features from conception through deployment while collaborating with product and design to deliver polished user experiences.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in modern Android development practices
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and Jetpack Compose
- Solid understanding of GraphQL and Apollo
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-quality performant and scalable Android apps
- Hands-on experience with real-time data updates and complex UI interactions
- Experience adopting and leveraging AI-assisted development tools
- Prior experience in fintech or crypto-related products preferred
- High ownership mentality
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality performant Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Own features from conception through deployment
- Contribute to and evolve mobile architecture, including Kotlin Multiplatform components where applicable
- Integrate with GraphQL APIs and implement real-time data updates
- Adopt and advocate for AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship
- Collaborate with product and design to build user-friendly mobile experiences
- Provide technical leadership and shape the mobile platform roadmap
