Staff Backend Engineer
About the Role
You will design and build real-time, budget-aware mirror trading infrastructure and high-throughput wallet and trading systems that operate under extreme volatility. You will create AI-driven intelligence layers to improve trading outcomes and deliver production systems focused on correctness, resilience, and speed. You will own large, business-critical systems end-to-end, make high-impact technical decisions, and run production operations including monitoring, on-call response, incident handling, and root-cause analysis. You will actively use AI to accelerate design, development, and iteration.
Requirements
- Staff-level engineering experience owning large systems
- Proven ability to lead work end-to-end from problem definition to production
- Comfortable making high-impact technical decisions
- Hands-on crypto experience with wallets tokens and trading systems
- Deep familiarity with trading APIs execution flows and transaction lifecycles
- Strong production experience with TypeScript Node.js and Golang
- Deep understanding of distributed systems performance and reliability
- Experience building high-throughput backend services
- Experience running production systems including monitoring on-call and incident response
- Active use of AI as an accelerant in development
- Bias toward correctness and safety in financial systems
